Lincolnton Emergency Notification

and General Information Notification System

LINCALERTS and LINCINFO are free services provided in a cooperative effort by Lincoln County Government, Lincolnton City Government and Lincoln County Schools to offer citizens emergency alert notification and general informational messages.

To make sure your receive these important alerts wherever you are, or to enroll your entire family to make sure they receive alerts, you can add up to five telephone numbers and two email addresses to your profile for each service from the links below.

For cell phone numbers, you must specify if you want to receive voice calls or text messages. A physical address (your home location for example) is required because emergency messages may only apply to specific areas of the County; no P.O. Boxes please.

Please Note: Each service is independent, so additions must be made to both systems separately.

LINCALERTSwilll be used to alert citizens of TRUE EMERGENCIES. In the event of an emergency, you will receive a message from our 911 Communications Center at your home residence or business if you are included in our master database of PUBLISHED landline phones in Lincoln County. IF YOU DON'T HAVE A LAND LINE OR HAVE A NON-PUBLISHED PHONE NUMBER YOU WILL NEED TO ‘OPT IN’ FOR THIS SERVICE.

Also, to receive additional free NOAA National Weather Service alerts, you can ‘opt-in’ for weather WARNING and/or WATCH alerts through the link.

If you do not want to receive any Emergency Alerts through LINCALERTS you may text the word ‘stop’ to 69310 or by visiting the link above and clicking unsubscribe.

LINCINFO will be used to provide informational messages to clients and subscribers from various City and County Governmental Agencies. Citizens can ‘opt in’ to receive informational messages about County and City services such as information on:

  • City and/or County meetings and events

  • Service interruptions or delays related to County or City Utilities and Services.

  • Information on planning or zoning projects that may impact your area

  • Special City and or County Park and Recreation events

  • Cooperative Extension events

  • Health related notices and events

When a message is sent by either system, you will see LINCALERTS or LINCINFO in your caller ID and one of the the following numbers:

LINCALERTS - (704) 736-9033 or LINCINFO - (704) 736-9036.

Please save these numbers in your contacts. These numbers will be an outbound number only and unable to receive a call back.

For e-mails, the sender address will be:

do-not-reply@lincalerts for LINCALERTS and do_not_reply@lincinfo for LINCINFO.

Please be sure to adjust your spam filter to receive these messages. For Text Messages, the sender will show as 69310.

If you decide you want to ‘opt out’ of this LINCINFO service you may text the word ‘stop’ to 69310 or by visiting the link above and clicking unsubscribe.
