Richard Haynes, Parks and Recreation Director
richardhaynes@ci.lincolnton.nc.usThe City of Lincolnton created the Parks and Recreation Department in 2007 and hired Richard Haynes as it’s first Director. Prior to this, he served as the Assistant Director of Public Works and Utilities. Richard holds a BS in Public Management from Appalachian State University, Boone, NC. He is married to Cindy, and they have three children Brooke, Jake, and Luke.

Nathan Eurey, Recreation Program Coordinator
nathaneurey@ci.lincolnton.nc.usServing in the parks and recreation field since October 1999 as a Recreation Program Coordinator, the City of Lincolnton hired Nathan to fill this role in the newly created Parks and Recreation Department. Nathan’s primary responsibility is to plan, promote, and organize recreation programs and activities. Nathan is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a BA in Political Science. He is married to Amy, and they have two children Ashlynn and Brooke.
Julie Holbrooks, Senior Administrative Support Specialist
julieholbrooks@ci.lincolnton.nc.usPrior to joining Parks and Recreation, she was employed by La-Z-Boy for 26 years. She is married to husband Mark.
Jamie Goodson, Parks and Recreation Maintenance Supervisor
jamiegoodson@ci.lincolnton.nc.usGoodson was hired as Maintenance Supervisor when the City of Lincolnton created the Parks and Recreation Department in 2007. Prior to this, he was employed by Carpenter Company/Dallas Pillow Division in Lincolnton and Hickory, NC for 17 years. He has one son, Joseph.
Brad Gates, Parks and Recreation Maintenance Worker
When the City of Lincolnton created the Parks and Recreation Department, Brad was hired as the maintenance worker. Before working for the City of Lincolnton, he worked for Watauga County Parks and Recreation and with the North Carolina Department of Transportation in the Roadside Environmental Division. Also, Brad works at the Lincoln County Family YMCA as a lifeguard. He was married to his wife Lauren Gates on May 19, 2007.
