2018 Veterans Day Parade

Saturday, November 10, 2018

Honor and thank our veterans for their service at the annual Lincolnton Veterans Day Parade. All are welcome to join the parade, just join the line-up to march or ride.
The parade is organized by the Lincoln County Veterans Council and American Legion Post 30 in Lincolnton. The Veterans Council represents five veterans’ organizations in Lincolnton - the American Legion, Disabled American Veterans, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Vietnam Veterans of America, and the Marine Corps League. These organizations work year-round to provide services and support to our area veterans.
Veterans Day celebrates the service of all U.S. military veterans of all wars. The date and time is symbolic. In 1918, on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month, an armistice, or temporary cessation of hostilities, was declared between the Allied nations and Germany in World War I, then known as “the Great War.”
