The following counts are based on data reported to the Lincoln County Health Department as of 12/08/2020:

- It is always tragic to lose one of our community members. Our thoughts and prayers go out to these families. With regards to the 31 deaths, 9 are related to a congregate-care facility. Lincoln County Health Department continues to work with congregate living facilities to mitigate the impacts of COVID-19.
- As of July 21, 2020, it is no longer recommended to require re-testing for negative test results (except in specific circumstances where an individual has a severely compromised immune system or pre-existing health conditions) to discontinue isolation to return to normal activities such as returning to work.

The NC Governor’s EO181 Modified Stay-at-Home & Early Closure Order issued today and effective December 11 through January 8, 2021, places NC under modified "Stay-at-Home" restrictions. Individuals must remain at home between 10PM-5AM and non-essential businesses will be closed from 10AM-5AM. The order extends capacity & gathering limits from previous orders and requires face coverings and social distancing in all public places and all indoor settings if there are nonhousehold members present, regardless of the distance away. The City of Lincolnton issued a proclamation mandating compliance with the face-mask requirements by businesses and persons within the City of Lincolnton.
