The City of Lincolnton is currently seeking applications to fill vacancies on the following boards and/or commissions:
Lincoln County Historic Preservation Commission – Currently accepting applications (1 vacancy)
Citizen Advisory Committee (Newly Formed) - Currently accepting applications

Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC Board)
This board retains authority to set policy and adopt rules in conformity with Alcohol Beverage Control (ABC) laws and Commission rules along with the authority to buy, sell, transport and possess alcoholic beverages as necessary for the operation of its ABC stores.

City Steering Committee
The City of Lincolnton Steering Committee’s primary function is to assist City government in aligning the committees, groups, and goals of allied support organizations (ASO) to improve communications, remove duplicated efforts and align them with the City of Lincolnton’s Strategic Plan to accomplish the unified goal of a prosperous Lincolnton.

Housing Authority
This Commission is required to develop policy as well as monitor and establish controls for providing safe and sanitary housing to residents.

Lincoln County Library Board
The Library Board is responsible for establishing local policies for the regional library, and works to provide the best possible library service for Lincoln County citizens.

Lincoln County Historic Preservation Commission
The Commission is charged with the responsibility of protecting our cultural heritage. It does this by having some control over the actions of some designated and historically significant private and public properties.

Lincolnton Tourism Development Authority (LTDA)
The duty of the Authority is to promote travel and tourism within the City of Lincolnton and to act as an agent to advise and assist with promotion of travel, tourism and conventions.

Planning Board
The primary objective of the Planning Board is to develop and maintain a continuing, cooperative planning program to benefit the people of the City of Lincolnton and its extraterritorial jurisdiction.

Student Advisory Council
The purpose of this Council is to solicit the opinions of civic minded young people on matters that will serve their age group now and into the future.

Citizen Advisory Committee
The Lincolnton Citizen Advisory Committee shall serve in an advisory capacity to the Lincolnton City Council and shall advise on matters affecting citizens that are addressed daily.
