The City of Lincolnton Solid Waste Department announces a temporary adjustment to the trash collection schedule in observance of the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday on Monday, January 19, 2026.

The City of Lincolnton Solid Waste Department announces a temporary adjustment to the trash collection schedule in observance of the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday on Monday, January 19, 2026.

All City administrative offices and departments will be closed on Monday, January 19th.

Solid Waste Collection Schedule Adjustment

The collection schedule will be as follows:  

Monday – No Collection

Tuesday – Monday’s Route Collected 

Wednesday – Tuesday’s Route Collected

Thursday – Wednesday and Thursday’s Routes Collected

Important Reminder

  • Residents and businesses should place their carts at the curb the night before their revised collection day.
  • Please leave your cart at the curb for the full day as it will take collection crews longer than usual to run double routes on Thursday.
  • The regular collection schedule will resume on Monday, January 26.
