Betty G. Ross Park, built in the 1970s, is home to the Lentz Recreation Center, a community pool, the River Launch, an 18-hole disc golf course, and many other awesome features! The 35 acre park is situated along the banks of the South Fork River, and serves as the headquarters for the City of Lincolnton Parks and Recreation Department. Unfortunately, due to state and local COVID-19 restrictions, we have made the difficult decision to not accept shelter reservations until further notice. Please continue checking our website for any updates. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Our covered picnic shelter is available to rent for birthday parties, reunions, as well as other events. The shelter is available for rent from April - October. From November-March the shelter is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Although you are not required to rent the shelter to use it, it is highly recommended when you are planning an important event. When the shelter is not reserved it is available at no cost on a first-come, first-served basis. In order to guarantee the shelter will be available for you to use at a particular time, we HIGHLY suggest making your reservation as far in advance as possible. The cost to rent is as follows:
